The Graduate Student Affinity Group” is a Geography Graduate Student Organization that helps ready students for their careers. We worked with the GSAG to define core functions of their site, customize a CMS to support these functions without extraneous elements, and develop a workflow for maintaining the site.

Foodfight is a one-day event where restaurants throughout central Ohio donate 5% of their proceeds to Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s Operation Feed initiative. The objective of this project is straightforward: encourage as many central Ohioan’s as possible to dine at participating establishments on June 21, 2011. Phil is completing this work voluntarily and the work is still in progress.

Winter is just underway, but we’re already gearing up for the next round of Foodfight!, Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s annual dine-out event to support Operation Feed. Even though rain clouds loomed large (surprise, surprise) on Foodfight! this past year, it was a success without equivocation.
As far as the site goes, this past year was a whirlwind; we had to design, build, and launch the site in just a few days. Without my fellow comrades on the marketing committee, there’s no way it would have made it! Thankfully we’ll have plenty of time to implement some new ideas this coming year including: greater engagement with social media, a geo-locating function to help diners find nearby participating establishments, and better representation for restaurants.
